Développement et renforcement du projet CLIL

With almost 25% of lessons given in a foreign language (German and English), as part of the CLIL project, our pupils develop real language skills and are able to adapt to different situations and understand a wide range of instructions:
– the 7-8H classes make a bird feeder: an activity conducted entirely in German
– 3-4 year-olds express their emotions in German
– the 1-2H enjoy the energy and opportunities offered by the forest (weekly outing in German/English).

2021-2022: teacher training in the CLIL method

2022-2023: approximately 20% of CLIL courses (+ language courses)

2023-2024: minimum 25% of CLIL classes (+ language classes)

2028-2029: 40% of CLIL classes from 1H to 8H (+ language classes)

The implementation of the CLIL method, which became widespread in the 90s, has proved its worth over several years, and the benefits for the pupils who benefit from it have been demonstrated:

+ Better results in French (end of primary cycle) thanks to the inter-relational links pupils make between their mother tongue and foreign languages.

+ Greater commitment from pupils: CLIL strengthens pupil involvement through the use of active teaching methods (better results in CLIL subjects, fewer pupils in difficulty)

+ Greater intercultural awareness and a positive attitude towards other languages and cultures

+ Higher social and communicative skills.
