All the practical information you need

Parents, you are the school’s main contact. We are at your disposal for any information related to your child’s schooling.

School calendar

The school follows the school calendar set by the Direction de l’Instruction, de la Culture et du Sport of the Canton of Fribourg in order to simplify the organisation of families and siblings.

There may be some particularities, but these are communicated to you early in the year.

List of school and extracurricular materials

In July, the teachers send the parents a letter with the list of school materials to buy (pencils, notebooks, brushes…).

For sports

  • short and t-shirt or trainer
  • sport shoes with white soles (no « ballerinas »). These shoes can only be used for indoor sports and cannot be used outside!
  • bath towel
  • shower product
  • spear underwear.


For the pool

  • swimming suit
  • bath towel
  • shower product
  • elastic and hairbrush for long hair.

Absences

In case of illness, the absence of the student must be communicated to the school secretariat in the morning before the beginning of the course.

Leave request

For a leave of up to half a day, the parents inform the teacher in advance.

For a leave of 1 to 3 day (s), a written request must be sent in advance to the class holder indicating the reason for the leave.

For a leave of more than 3 days per year, a written request must be sent to the Principal of the school stating the reason.

Joker days

Since the begining of the school year, four half-days of leave can be taken per year and per child, without having to justifiy the reason. This is subject to the following conditions:

  • These days/half-days are non-transferable from one school year to the next.
  • The announcement must be made at leat 2 weeks in advance using the application form available on
  • the following link.

  • Joker days cannot be taken on the first school day of the school year, during the “Out of School” activities and the “Camp vert”, and on test days or assessments announced more than 2 weeks in advance.
